Rome, 18 January 2011 – Following a tender procedure launched in May 2009, France’s Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing (MEDDTL) has chosen Autostrade per l’Italia as preferred bidder for the awarding of the contract for the implementation and operation of a satellite-based toll system for heavy vehicles weighing over 3.5 tons using part of the country’s road network of approximately 15.000 km (Eco Taxe Poids Lourds).
