From June 13 to September 2, in Villa Fassini in Rome we will host the free "Atlantia4Ukraine" Summer Camp open to mothers and children from the Ukrainian refugee community who have arrived in Rome in the recent months.
Recreational activities, sports, yoga, Italian language classes, counselling, and a multimedia classroom for children between the ages of 4 and 14 and their families will be offered on a rotating basis. All activities will be daytime and will take place on weekdays (Monday - Friday) approximately from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with lunch included.
The Summer Camp is ideated and realized by Atlantia in collaboration with Sport Senza Frontiere (within the “Joy” project), with the support of Caritas, Community of Sant'Egidio and Save The Children Italy and together with the Ukrainian Embassy in Italy, the Department of Civil Protection of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Municipality of Rome.
During the Summer Camp our people can take part to the #10Days4 program, which allows them to engage in volunteer activities for up to 10 paid days per year.
Last May 13, the "Atlantia4Ukraine" Open Day was held, which involved thanks to #10Days4 about 60 of our people welcoming the Ukrainian refugee community in Rome at one of our Atlantia "Homes," Villa Fassini, which from that moment became a "Home for Ukraine”. We spent a day outdoor together with our families and about 500 Ukrainian mothers and children, inaugurating a space that will be dedicated to them for the summer period.
