Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur at a glance:

  • Committing to sustainability: Nice Airport was the first airport in France to commit to zero CO2 emissions by 2030, reaching a 80% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions since 2010. Having signed up to the independent Airport Carbon Accreditation programme in 2011, Nice Côte d’Azur became the first airport in France, and 25th in the world to achieve carbon neutrality in 2016 and was joined two years later by the airports of Cannes Mandelieu and Golfe de Saint Tropez. Recently, Golfe de Saint Tropez Airport, ideally located in the heart of an exceptional region, was the first within the Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group to succeed in not emitting a single gram of CO2 and transitioning from offsetting its remaining emissions to partially absorbing emissions from aircraft during their approach, taxiing and take-off phases.
  • Pioneering innovation: the expert division for Nice Côte d’Azur has developed a bold and ambitious strategy to integrate the latest technologies throughout passengers’ experience. In 2019, the airport enriched its array of services such as facial recognition solutions to reduce the time spent at border control and an app for checking flight statuses, booking parking spaces, buying VIP lounge access, or renting a car.

Our partners: who is managing with us Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur

On 9 November 2016 we completed, together with EDF Invest the acquisition of a 64% stake in Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur (ACA), through the acquisition vehicle, Azzurra Aeroporti Srl On 23 June 2017, the Principality of Monaco entered in the share capital of Azzurra Aeroporti by taking over shares from shareholders on the same terms as the initial acquisition. The transaction marked another major step towards in delivering our internationalisation strategy and it was a perfect fit with the plan to grow our involvement in airports with a global reach. our partner, the EDF group, played a major role in making a success of the acquisition, with its extensive experience as a long-term infrastructure investor.
